Game Over Beer

S2 Ep1: Game Over Beer with Matt Curtis

Tom Maya Season 2 Episode 1

Hello and welcome to Season 2 of game over beer!

Apologies for the hiatus, the last year I’ve been working on 6 craft beer festivals across the UK, welcomed my second child Remy into the world and moved house, so it seemed a bit insane to try and fit season 2 of the podcast into the mix.

I’d like to start by saying a huge thank you to our returning partner, Four Quarters, they are the UK’s original arcade bar and home to authentic retro arcade machines and consoles and you can find them in London, Bristol and Newcastle.

Also, a huge thank you to our new partner We Are Beer, they put on some of the best craft beer festivals across the UK in Bristol, Manchester and London and if you use code GameOverBeer, you’ll get £10 off.

A reminder to listeners that I'm using this podcast to help raise funds for mental health charities, so if you'd like to support the podcast and donate to a worth cause, please head to Ko-fi.com/gameoverbeer that’s KO dash FI dot com forward slash game over beer.

Last season we raised over £500 pounds, which went to the Disaster Emergency Committee to help the people of Ukraine.

On to Season 2!

We have some amazing guests for this season and we’re starting with a great chat with Matt Curtis.

Matt is a Writer, Photographer, Podcaster, co-founder of Pellicle Magazine, and author of Modern British Beer.

We spoke about how his parents thriftiness  introduced him to JRPGs, the beer that got him started as a beer writer, and Matt’s obsession with challenging games.

Lastly, I promise,  to anyone listening on Apple podcast or Spotify please leave a review and give us 5 stars!

So without further ado, join Matt and I as we Game Over Beer!
